FAQ

Users
Users are the accounts that keep almost everything together. In other words, basically you, but connects you to all your horses, shows your status, notifies you of any messages, etc.

Display names can be changeable but usernames nor user IDs cannot be changed. Your username will be hidden but your ID will not. The ID is to help others keep track of your account since they cannot see the username and the display names can be changed.

Messages are similar to the e-mail system, except its connection is limited and stays only on Esirus. That means it cannot be used to e-mail other worldwide accounts such as Yahoo, MSN, Gmail, etc. To message someone, you have to type in their ID and not their display names. Usually, the 'Message to:' should already be filled out for you unless you've clicked on 'Compose'.

Users can join clubs but not herds. Clubs are like groups or guilds only for the accounts, not horses. Any user may create a club but it is their responsibility if too many clubs are created and other people cannot/does not join your club.

Clubs
It can be created by any user. The creater of the group will be automatically positioned as the leader. It is up to them to provide a nice page/layout or give the control to trustworthy members. Horses cannot join clubs.

Horses
Horses are what you use to participate in many of the site's activities. You must make a horse to active to post or view anything horse-related such as herds (fixing, though). Your active horse is your current 'main' horse that you use to do anything horse-related such as fighting, claiming, posting, etc. To 'activate' a horse, click on the button 'Make this horse active' at the bottom of the horses's page. Your active horse is shown at the top box near the navigation bar and also in the first table in 'Your horses' page.

You may have as many horses as you want but you may create only one original horse unless you are a paid user. An original horse has non-user parents and most of its features can be decided before its officially created. If you aren't a paid user, the only way you can have more horses are through breeding.

Colors can be decided on your first horse but not on any of the foals or non-original horses. The colors are based on alleles and most likely are not random. Original horses have only pure color genes and no hybrids. Foals on the other hand, may have a masked allele and contain hybrid colors without knowledge.

Clans
Clans are like the government/country. The clans are randomly chosen for a original horse upon creation. The foal will get the dam's clan if the dam and sire have different clans. The clans were created to unite many individual horses under several main powers.

Currently there are only Nature Clans: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air.

Herds
Any horse can create a herd and the creator of the herd is automatically the herd's leader. The herd is similar to a club for horses and it is up to the creator to recruit more horses into his/her herd. Other horses from different clans can join a herd whose leader is from a separate clan. Herd->state.

Terras & Lands
Terras are large lands owned by herds. Lands are owned privately by individual horses. Kind of similar to Terra->city, Land->house.

Terras can only be edited by a herd leader. Private lands can be added to a terra if the lands were owned by a horse in the herd that owns the terra. Herd leaders can have several terras and can gain more by fighting other herd leaders.

Lands are mini-forums and can have posts. It can be only edited by the owner of the land. Horses can have several lands by fighting for them from other horses.
