Horses

Horses are used to participate in the site's activities, such as role-playing and battling. You need to get at least one horse before exploring, since you can't really do anything without one. :)

If you have just started the game, chances are, you have a copper account. (You will learn more about the different types of accounts later) Being so, you may only create 2 free original horses, which are horses whose traits are decided by you and have no real parents. To create an original horse, go to World?and scroll down until you see a box called Create a Horse?(this should be the second one down). After choosing the traits, you will have your first horse! This will automatically become your active horse. If your horse has foals, you will not be able to decide how they look.

Role-playing (RP) is a type of game in which you assume the role of another character (in this case, your active horse). RP-ing is in the 3rd person narrative, for example: A white forelock was brushed aside as the mare's blue eyes shifted from one horse to another. Do NOT post obscene things! Esirus is not meant to be a place for cyber as horses! If you do this, you will be banned from the site. To get to the forum, go to Explore?and then, click on the Mainland.

You may battle other horses on Esirus for: experience, land, terra, or a mare. My advice is to start off with experience. In order to start a battle, find a horse to challenge. Then, click the challenge link and choose from there. To battle, go to your horse's page. On the top left corner, it should say "A Fight is Waiting!". Click on this link. You may find that your horse misses a lot; this is because of speed. If your horse has low speed, it may lessen the chance of winning. If you are fighting for experience, both winners and losers will gain some.

Esirus Credits (EC) are what Esirus uses for currency. You can get EC from finding them on the ground (this is random), and looting Loot Town every day. You can get points at random as well. Sometimes, there will be horses for sale, in which you must buy with EC.

There are many different places to go on Esirus. The most active would be to explore. When you click on the Explore?link, it takes you to a map. Of this map, only three things have a purpose (as of now). Loot Town, The Lake of Healing, and Mainland.

To loot Loot Town, you must go to Explore and click on Loot Town. You can also take a swim down the Seafood River to loot. Looting is a great way to get ECs, but it will bring down the health of your active horse. To replenish the health, click on the Lake of Healing. This will restore about 10 health points. You can only go to the lake once per day. To view your health status and ECs, look right below the links, and you will see a rectangular box with that information in it.

Where you receive mail from the other players?_o

Your profile can be edited anytime, and can be found on the homepage. You change your password, e-mail address, display name, or you can spice it up with a bit of HTML and CSS(enter this in the description box). A site I find quite helpful for coding is Lissa Explains.

Hopefully, I do not have to explain this. ;) But I will anyways. You login at the start page, below the news and updates. You logout by clicking the link on the Menu box (that says Log Out?0_o).

If you go to the Map page, you will find that there is a colorful picture-like diagram with horses on there. Yes, the horses can move, and yes, you are one of the horses (although you may not be visible, since you may be overlapped by other horses). You can RP on the chat box below, move around, nuzzle or bite the horse(s) next to you, whinny, and whisper to the horse(s) next to you.

Yes, a chat room. Or should I say, a Chat Talk Thing? :P . There are five different mini chat rooms: User 1, User 2, Horse 1, Horse 2, and Horse 3. No obscene things on here, either!

Clans:

When you create an original horse, it is randomly set into a clan. So far, there are only four clans: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. Clans are kind of like different governments.

Herds are kind of like states. You may create a herd, or join one. Most joining of herds is from RP-ing on the forum mainland. To create a herd, go to Status? then All Herds? You should find a link there.

Terras are territories owned by herds, whereas lands are for individual horses. Horses can fight for land/terra at the battleground. Herd leaders can have several terras at first, and gain more by fighting.

There are three different paid accounts. Copper is the free one. There is: Silver, Gold, and Diamond. Payments are here

Sometimes, when I try to do something on the Explore?page, like look for pigs on the Pig Cliff, it says that page is not available. Why? This is because the administrators of the site have not found any use for this, and therefore did not create a page yet.

Can my horses die? Nope, but they may be able to later in the future

Why isn't anybody responding to my posts??!! Be patient, and if nobody respond for a week or so, change the title to something catchier. :)

How do I sell my horses? You go to your horse's page and scroll to the bottom. There is a small form for putting your horse up for sale.

How do I reset my pages? Go to the help page and scroll all the way down

How come some people have winged horses and unicorns and stuff? It is part of the upcoming plot, but they are no longer available.

My credits disappeared! Either somebody hacked onto your account, or there is a bug. If you think it is a bug, report it to esirusa@yahoo.com. If somebody hacked onto your account, change your password so it won't happen again, and maybe a really nice person would donate some EC to you. :)
