Tutorial by Kochia (987)

First of, welcome to Esirus, a one of a kind RPG/automated horse game. Below is a tutorial to help you better understand Esirus. This tutorial is brought to you by Kochia (987).

Beginning

After you have logged in, you will come to a screen that has…

·                                 Menu Box: Current date, time, members online, log out link, and the season in Esirus.

·                                 Something Box: Not sure what goes here.

·                                 News: Any new additions, updates, or information is posted here.

·                                 View Your Profile: You can put your own layout or info about yourself here.

View Your Profile

Click on Home on the navigation bar. Then, click on Your Profile. You will then see all of your personal information including email, username, password, credits, rank, horses, and points. You can change your password, email, and profile information at anytime. You can also add HTML to your description so feel free to set up a lovely layout to suit your needs.

·                                 View Your Horses: See what horses you currently own.

·                                 Mail Box: Any messages other members, moderators, or administration sends will come here.

·                                 Log Out: Ends your current game session at Esirus.

The information bar shows…

·                                 Active Horse: this horse is currently the one you are playing under, you may change this at anytime by Viewing Your Horses, click on your other horse’s name, scroll down and select to “Make this Your Active Horse.”

Horse Profile

This is where you can manipulate your horse to your own needs. Across the top is where you can find Challenges, Breeding Requests, Foals, Herd, and All Posts. Challenges let you view all of the challenges you have made to other horses and ones that have been made to you. Breeding Requests show all of the horses you have requested to breed to and all of the horses that have requested to breed to you. You can accept or decline any challenges or breeding requests at any time. Foals shows all of your offspring, Herd shows the current one that you are in, if you are at all, and All Posts shows all the posts that have been made under the horse that you have chosen.

1.                                Profile: Now, further down on the horse’s page, you can see all of its current info. You can change its name, mood, personality, image, and description at anytime. Your description can also handle HTML.

2.                                Training: Below all of that are your horse’s stats that you can improve by browsing the site and having your horse gain training points by random events, like eating an unknown plant. After you have acquired at least 1000 training points in one stat like legs, body, nutrition, etc. you can go into the World and train your horse to gain stat points (beauty, strength, speed, etc.) However, you must select to train the stat point that goes along with the training points. An example, if your horse has 1253/1253 points in its Body stat, you must train him in under Strength. Your horse will then gain a stat point. This will help improve your horse’s stamina which allows him to last longer in fights and if it gets hurt while looting.

3.                                Status & Clan: You can also find the Clan and Status of your horse. It may be in the Fire, Water, Earth, or Wind Clan. This is assigned by random and you may converse with others of your clan in the Mainland where there are message boards for each group. The status shows your position in a herd, if you are in one. Further down, you may claim a land for your horse. This may be challenged for.

4.                                Other: You may also choose to make the current you are viewing as “Active” or you may sell it.

5.                                Starting A Herd: To start a herd, you must go into Status and scroll down and select All Herds. All of the herds in Esirus are listed here. At the top is the option to Create A Herd. You may then create your own and it is listed among the others. You may go into your herd and add horses, lands, terras, and assign controls and titles to herd members.

6.                                Joining A Herd: To join a herd, simply click on the Join Herd link next to the name.

7.                                Battle Arena: After you have accepted a challenge, you may enter the battle and begin fighting. Your fight will become viewable in the Battle Arena. To fight, the phrase “A fight is waiting!” will replace the Challenge link in your horse’s profile. Click on this to battle.

·                                 Horse Health: shows the health of your active horse by displaying his health stat points and percentage of health that he has from those points.

·                                 Credits: Esirus Credits (EC) is the currency in the game, this shows how many you have.

·                                 Mail: Any new messages that you receive will appear in bold red as “New Mail.”

The navigation bar shows…

·                                 Home: Brings you back to the screen you first see when you log in.

·                                 Explore:  Takes you to the map of Esirus.

·                                 World:  This option allows you to interact with other members and horses.

·                                 Map: A region where you can role-play with other characters on the game

·                                 Status:  General info area to find statistics and information about other members and horses.

·                                 Chat:  Lets you chat live with other members of Esirus.

·                                 Help:  Obviously to aid you among your travels and hopefully answer a few questions that you may have.

Now, lets explore each one of these links to become more familiar with what they are, what you can do, and how to do them. Since we already know where the Home takes us, lets more on to Explore.

The “Location” buttons allow you to move your horse over the map to interact with other horses. You may move it left, down, right, or up. The numbers in (x, x) shows you the location of your horse on the map. If you need to, click the Return button to move back to (0,0) The Action box shows the most recent interactions other horses have done to your horse. You may interact with other horses near you: Nuzzle, Bite, or Whisper To, otherwise give a Whinny! Underneath the map is a “chat box” where you may role-play with other horses.
